Frequently Asked Questions

FlowScout is an AI-powered platform designed to automate functional testing, helping teams save time and reduce errors by converting natural language flows into executable tests.

Our AI analyzes the flows you provide (in natural language or existing scripts) and intelligently generates corresponding automated test cases, understanding context and adapting to UI changes.

FlowScout focuses on end-to-end functional tests that simulate real user interactions with your web application.

FlowScout's AI adapts to minor UI changes like a user would. The test outcome depends on your definition: if the goal is broad (e.g., 'complete checkout'), the AI attempts completion even with changes. However, if you define specific assertions (e.g., 'verify exactly one checkout step'), the test will fail if those assertions aren't met. Generally, if a user could still complete the task, the test should pass, unless your explicit checks fail.

FlowScout primarily focuses on *functional* testing: can the user still achieve their goal? If an unintended HTML change breaks core functionality defined in your test assertions, the test will fail. If the change only affects appearance but the user can still complete the flow, the functional test may pass. We are exploring future visual regression testing features to specifically catch unintended visual changes, but the current focus is ensuring the function works as expected.
